Full-Time Director of Quality Assurance – Bangalore
Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of QA is responsible for leading QA teams and quality of project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Defining QA strategy, approach and execution.
- Responsible for Leading and directing the QA leadership team.
- Provide technical / functional leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Assurance and Testing.
- Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
- Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
- Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
- Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
- Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.
- Direct the development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline and framework.
- Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.
- Work with QA managers / Development leaders to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with offshore and onshore teams
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Ten (10) or more years’ experience in leading product testing teams with a solid track record for QA Management experience across multiple projects, off-shore and on-shore. Preference for experience working in product-based organizations with Microsoft Technologies
- Five (5) years’ experience successfully managing and developing project teams
- Five (5) years’ experience in progressive management position and leadership role
- Healthcare IT experience, including with HIPAA/HITECH compliance requirements, preferred
- Strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping the company’s QA processes and strategies.
- Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, internally and externally
- Positive “can do” attitude with focus on the success of the team over individual accomplishments
- High level of self-motivation and ability to motivate / inspire staff along the journey
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, prioritization, presentation, analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with change management specific to initiating, shaping and managing change.
- Ability to perform competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations
- Ability to be on call or assure critical incident response 24x7x365
