Job Description

Requirement of principal Test specialist (Test architect) for Policy & Charging product in SPS R&D team Gurgaon. Primary role will be to part of R&D scrum team, responsible for defining new features test strategy, work as test architect, defining test & automation framework & methodology in Policy & Charging product. Key objective is to deliver high quality feature set/maintenance patch in product with first time right philosophy.

Good team player and should able to drive new initiative in teams.

Should technically sound enough to handle product test activity independently E2E (Unit, functional, integration & performance test).

Quick ramp up on the existing product/process and develop solution at a faster speed

Keeping all stakeholder informed about all the important technical issues, progress and status

Experience in working in Agile framework is must

Past Experience in leading successful teams/virtual teams towards customer delivery in alignment with Organizational requirement. Strategizing and planning of portfolio in New service introduction, end to end product cycle management

Test planning
To integrate the project components into cohesive whole that meets customer’s needs.
Responsible for test scope and objective definition verification
To establish the initial schedule of the over-all test activities in coordination with the involved test lead(s)
To participate in the different meetings.
To participate in identifying global risks and dependencies
To maintain organizational awareness of and competency with emerging software and testing technologies
Define strategy and automation for unit, functional, integration and performance test
Define security test plan, execution, system hardening

Test Management
To develop test processes that leads to efficient and effective test activities.
To establish competency goals to achieve test requirements
To monitor test performance for adherence to the plan, schedule and budget and takes corrective actions
To initiate a regular internal progress follow-up of the global project with the involved PL(s)
Maintain the over-all project management records “problems, risks and action’s list”, “milestones and key dates”, decision reviews and checkpoints, …
Monitor level of customer satisfaction – the customer being either the groups within Alcatel or end users of Alcatel solutions with whom ADI team could be directly interacting. Take corrective and preventive actions to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
To participate in reviews of GTS, Test Results, Milestone, Post Mortem
To involve in go, no-go decisions
Assists the team and stakeholders during project execution
Keeping the staff appropriately informed and effectively utilizing the staff
Keeping all stakeholder informed about all the important issues, progress and status

Strong Diameter experience, strong test skills and previous experience working on PCRF or Charging product is must. The ideal candidate should be well versed in testing of large product.

14+ years of experience in test architecting role in Telecom, BSS and Cloud domain

Worked on with extensive hands on experience vendors such as (but not limited to) AWS, Oracle, Azure, GCE, OpenStack, Vcloud, Vmware etc

Technical Skills Required

Qualification – B.TECH/M.TEC/MCA/BIT/MIT/BSc(IT) with 14+ years of experience

Essential –

Gx/Gy/Sy interface knowledge.

Java, Aerospike DB, Java run time environment

J2EE Application Server environment

Linux knowledge

Scripting languages (Perl, Bash & Python)

Web Services (Soap, XML, REST)

Web Technologies

Protocols DIAMETER, RADIUS, TCP, UDP

Experience with 3G/LTE network architecture, components and call flows.

Experience in design/implementation/consulting with distributed cloud application platform

Experience in designing the applications on Charging & Policy domains on cloud
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers across internal and external organization

Strong in process & good understanding on Global/Remote delivery and Operations

Desirable –

Virtualization (OpenStack, KVM, VMware)

prior work experience on NOKIA DSC or any competitive PCRF or Charging product

Integration experience with Nokia one-NDS product
