The Business brief 
Team Rendezvous at Skype is looking for passionate, team-oriented and self-motivated Quality Engineer (QE) to help us bring Skype experience on to the Web.
Your daily job will span across test planning, creation, execution and maintenance of manual and automated tests, troubleshooting and logging discovered issues, working closely with other people and teams, involved in the product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis and test planning- to analyse product requirements, plan and document test cases. Choose appropriate testing approach. Inject testing enabling requirements into product requirements list.
Tests automation- to build automated test harnesses and conducting destructive and failure mode / scenario / threat modelling against client and web based applications. 
Bug reporting and tracking- to report and prioritize found issues, track and verify bug fixes. 
Collaborate- to actively collaborate with:
– Product management around product requirements and priorities,
– Team members around test cases and found issues.

Candidate Profile- Expertise/Experience
Essential
– BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent years of experience.
– Familiarity with both automated test harnesses e.g. HTTP Unit, .NETUnit and static analysis as well as security testing and validation.
– Experience from unit through system test best practice. 
Desirable
– Experience in applications that cross (and depend on) multiple client environments (e.g. variation in device driver, network connectivity etc).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and diplomacy in communicating with others.
Self-direction- must work independently to develop application code. This role demands proactive, ‘can-do’ nature.
Self-management- Must be highly organized and be able to prioritize work effectively. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Team-orientation- Able to put team interests above personal, help team to move faster all together and take personal responsibility for the whole team result.

Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.
